Shanghai – Ahead of the Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles expo in August, the event has unveiled its trend outlook for 2021.

Ahead of the Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles expo in August, the event has unveiled its trend outlook for 2021.“Bound” encompasses three trends: Cozy Warmth, Past Future and Bold/Clash. Each trend is a reflection on the current environmental, economic, societal and identity changes, providing industry professionals with insight and inspiration about interior textiles, according to show organizer Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

“2020 has been a year of unprecedented changes, and a challenging time for all businesses in our industry. From our side, Messe Frankfurt and our co-organizers are doing all we can to ensure a safe environment for participants, as well as provide the ideal platform for business to resume and discover the new opportunities that this crisis has presented us,” said Wendy Wen, senior general manager of the trade show organization.

The trends are decided by a committee led by the NellyRodi Agency (France) with the participation of forecasters Vincent Grégoire (France), Shen Lei (China), Carlotta Montaldo (France), Studio NOCC (France) and Juliette Lamarca (France).

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition take place Aug. 24-26 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The fair is organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
